Harrogate Online: Call for forum moderators
Would you like to be a Harrogate Online Forum Moderator?
The IATEFL Annual Conference, being held this year in Harrogate UK, offers teachers a unique opportunity to share their teaching experiences, learn from each other and to develop their teaching skills and knowledge.
Not everyone is able to attend the conference in person. For the fourth year IATEFL and the British Council are offering teachers all over the world the opportunity to participate online.
Harrogate Online will showcase the best of the conference and provide interactive web coverage with live video, interviews with presenters, recorded sessions, moderated discussion forums, photo galleries and much more.
We would like your help to make this a success. We are looking for Harrogate Online moderators who would be willing to participate in forum discussions before, during the conference and for a short period after.
What do Harrogate Online forum moderators do?
Harrogate Online forum moderators will work in small teams. Each special interest area will have 2 or 3 moderators working together so that the task of moderation doesn't become too time consuming for one person. As well as giving more teachers the chance to get involved, this is also an attempt to make sure the forums can be effectively moderated and active across all time zones.
As a moderator, you'll be expected to login in to the Harrogate Online website at least once a day. The forums will be launched 3 weeks before the start of the conference and will continue to be moderated for a 2-week period after the conference. The commitment therefore will start around the 2nd week of March until the middle of April.
