Ready to rock!
Hi there! I’ve made it to cloudy gray Brighton after 4 days in London.
Excitement is in the air. There`s an army of people around The Brighton Centre’s many rooms connecting cables, setting up book stands, even preparing a studio for live interviews. After going all sorts of directions, I finally found ‘the hub’. Having met the friendly British Council Staff, I have the sensation I’m backstage for one of these big shows whose tickets are sold out months in advance. Rhena promptly sits me in front of a computer and voila! I’m definitely ‘reporting’. Just there’s not much to write about except all the anticipation one feels before so big an event where you’re supposed to perform a role for the first time. Uncertainty, hesitation, careful thinking before choosing the words are my motto now.
Tomorrow, presenters and attendees alike will flock to the Centre avid for knowledge and thoughts. We’ll exchange ideas, absorb many more, most certainly have some of our own to put in practice when we all go back home on Tuesday. Now Tuesday seems to be very far, but these conference days will fly past us like a breeze. And then, we’ll look back and be unable to measure how much we’ve learned, because it will definitely be A LOT.
Be back tomorrow, with my first feel of the event. Well, I’m ready to rock!

I'm pretty sure you are.
Thanks to technology those who were not able to make it in Brighton this year we'll be able to feed from some of the knowledge shared in the conference. Lucky we, who live in a "flat" and connected world.
IATEFL 2011 will be a milestone for you and all the speakers and attendees involved.
Look forward to reading your updates.
