What type of relationships have you developed with your network community and how has that affected your professional development ? How does online networking differ from face to face relationship ?

Hi ,
I m Mbarek Akaddar from Morocco .I 'm a member of a good number of online networks and learning communities such as FB , linkedin , twitter , diigo and yahoogroups . My favourite network service is ning .I belong to several nings concerned with the integration of ICT and web 2.0 tools in teaching and learning .I have learnt a lot from the people I meet on these networks and I managed to create http://allsharing.ning.com , a network on exploring and sharing experiences of using web 2.0 tools in the classroom .In online connections , I get rid of the negative psychological and social influnces on communication .I feel more freedom in selecting my connections in a large variety of figures .For me , that has boosted my professional development much better than face to face interactions .In real life , I would never communicate with famous professionals such as George Simens , Nik Peachy , Graham Stanley and many others as I can do thanks to networks .
