This symposium on teacher certification will be a forum to present and discuss the state of the art in the ESL/EFL profession currently. The presenters will share and discuss the issues concerned to ESL/EFL teacher certification in two different countries; the role of teacher certification in developing and maintaining professionalism, as well as the opportunities to any kind of national accreditation schemes in their education programs that may require language teachers to hold a national or international certification.
