The picture book as multimodal text.
Presented By Sandie Mourão
Session Details
A picture book narrative is produced from the inter-animation of a verbal and a visual text. In this talk I will discuss the types of interplay between these two texts; share some results obtained in EFL classrooms in Portugal, where the visual text has played an important role in promoting language acquisition, and discuss the implications for our classroom practice.
