Helping learners notice and remember chunks of language

Session Details
Techniques currently associated with the Lexical Approach tend to promote noticing (which is good) but are not in general well-designed to promote formation of durable memories (which is bad). Drawing on Teaching Chunks of Language (Lindstromberg & Boers. 2008. Helbling Languages), I will demonstrate exercises that address the issue of how to help learners remember lexical phrases they have noticed.
