Teacher Training in Virtual Worlds: What are the Issues?

Teaching in virtual worlds is a new challenge for teachers, and training is crucial for a successful performance. This presentation will describe the way language teachers are being trained to teach in Languagelab.com (Second Life). Different issues will be discussed: Second Life skills; educational tools; approaches to teaching; and class management, among others. Illustrations of training sessions and classes will be shown.
