Through practical tasks, participants will be able to reflect on the issues influencing the reliable assessment of spoken English proficiency. Solutions to these issues will be demonstrated through how City & Guilds seeks to balance the reliability and validity of spoken English tests. The workshop focuses on interlocutor skills and is appropriate for any teacher wanting to test spoken English.
