Communication in English: soft skills in and for the workplace
Presented By Maureen Franks
Session Details
The presentation will look at the language necessary for an ESOL student/graduate to be able to communicate successfully in the workplace. I will also focus on the 'soft skills' required by both employees and employers and share curriculum ideas to show attendees how to manage and deal with these concepts. The content will be based on 'practical' suggestions.

Great, Maureen!
It was really great both the presentation and your ideas on developing soft skills. I liked your concept and very easy explanation of soft skills compared with hard ones. It was a good addition to what I've discovered for myself recently.
Be sure you managed to build a rapport with us who were at a distance.
Thank you very much for sharing ideas which will find their place in our classrooms here in Ukraine. Hope, you won't be against:).
Best wishes

I enjoyed viewing the session
I enjoyed viewing the session by Maureen Franks. The presentation was very much related to PhD thesis on 'Engineering English: A Critical Evaluation' in which I discuss the importance of soft skills which employers expect of engineering graduates at the workplace.
