The evening activities at the conference have been superb! On the first day a Welsh Voice Choir got us immersed in beautifully performed traditional songs. Choir music always leaves me mesmerized and this was not an exception, but what was special this time is a Welsh taste to them. Superb!
The same day you could learn to dance traditional Welsh dances accompanied by the Twmpath Dawns Band (a Welsh Ceilidth band). I was amazed at how many people joined! It was great!
On April 1, my choice of evening activity was poetry reading by... Michael Swan (he does not need a formal introduction, does he?). I always admire people who can comfortably wear several hats, and this is the case with Michael. His poems are filled with witty and touching observations about different aspects of human nature. Sometimes poems are about nature or some places Michael has been to and sometimes they are about - guess what? - the language. This poetry reading made my day!
