Writing skills in BE

Hi everyone,
As we all know writing skills play an important role in BE teaching. Let’s share our ideas about it.
What writing skills do you usually teach? What books and resources do you use? What difficulties may occur while teaching writing skills? How important is developing students’ writing skills in your teaching in comparison with all other skills?

Hi Natalia,
I should say writing is not very much developed, unfortunately, in Russia in general. Very few teachers pay proper attention to this necessary skill for students. When I say proper that means - they do teach something, but if we compare this way with the worldwide accepted one, we will see lots of shortcomings. I am not the exception, I should admit, and this is where I should gain more expertise in order to give my students better training. So just like you, I am looking forward to other trainers' experience in that field. Please share with us your knowledge and experience! You are very welcome!

P.S. Most often we use the book "Business Correspondence" for teaching writing, and some other textbooks, but not extensively.
