Dear Colleagues,
We have discussed Learner Autonomy from various angles; it has been a nice opportunity in terms of collective brainstorming. What is your latest impression of the discussion topics and ideas? Which topics, ideas have you found the most interesting and useful? Are there any issues that you do not agree with? Would you like to add something new?
Personally, talking about motivation and good practices are the most useful parts for me.
Best to all,
Sirin
I am a little concerned that the actual concept of learner autonomy as a desirable and ubiquitous outcome has not been questioned. This seems to me to be the first step towards discussing and learning about autonomy in language learning.

To me autonomy is the potential solution for students. Lack of English language resources becoming independent and in a move is essential. I am planning for a leadership and training of autonomy center for students in my district since it is new to us as a teacher and education community. hope to learn more from you friends... thanks a lot for your insight...

Autonomy provides good chance for language teachers or leaners to share ideas and practise writing I think.

Hi Sirin,
I'd say that learner autonomy is the fundamental issue and aim of the teaching/learning process - something which underpins everything we do as teachers - I'm not sure we have even scraped the surface of that!
Regards,
Heather
