What do you feel are the most interesting themes and issues within Materials Development that you think the IATEFL conference should be exploring and addressing?

Dear Nik and all

I think it would be appropriate to start with:

  • Coursebook place in a course: Are they really necessary? Or materials should be developed through the course?
  • Curriculum/Syllabuses and their roles in and for materials design
  • Curriculum/Syllabuses: Should they be prescriptive?
  • Flexibility of the materials developed: Should the materials be flexible or teachers and students should follow them strictly.

Sure this list can be added by the other issues.
