SL - Help needed!

Hi
I got a notification today from the Learning Times about a conference I'd like to attend next weekend which relates to Museum Studies (my side-line), but the conference is in SL. I've only visited SL once and am worried about how I could cope with it. I'm going to revisit SL now - but if anyone has any tips about things I need to be able to do (or concepts I should embrace) to participate etc (like tutorials I should work thru), I'd be really grateful.

Hey Gavin
I went to the 'orientation' today and am suffering tec problems due to issues with the sudio/voice - i think it's because I am in the UAE. Very frustrating!

Yes, as far as I know all VOIP products (and that will include voice in SL) are blocked in UAE.

You'll need to be able to do the following:
1) Log in
2) Teleport to the location of the conference
3) Sit in a chair
4) Move your camera around to see presentationss
5) Have voice configured properly.
