On reflection it might be a mistake to create a new list and isolate it from other contacts and sources of input.

The Yahoo group IATEFL YLSIG (Young Learners Special Interest Group), which is to be officially renamed at Cardiff  - YLTSIG, Young Learners and Teenagers - is a logical place to discuss teenage TEFL matters.  Wendy, Helen and I are already members, and, to declare my interest, I am moderator for discussionss. There are about 550 members, though most of them are awfully quiet.

Take a look at  the website:

Yo Dennis!

Good to see you in action - as always!

Am rather wary of groupings and just how far they can go - YLT - well, why not just call it 'School'? (S-LIG!) Does that mean that everything else is 'Adult'?! Does 'adult' have a cut-off point to become Senior Citizen SIG - or whatever the current PC term is?

Just joking!

Best wishes,

Heather

Heather,

Good to read you again, Heather, and especially here.

I take your point about splitting things off into categories but, of course, the whole IATEFL SIG structure is like that and was conceived thus.

My inner jury is still out. As a YLTSIG man, I see the sense of keeping the Teenager area within the fold, as an independent individual I can understand a possible wish for the Ts to have their own list.

Any opinions?
