LIST OF VIDEO RECORDINGS
Hello, everyone,
Last night my internet connection was great and got to see a lot of the recorded video sessions. Isn't this fantastic, to be able to see all these presentations in the comfort of your home. Even if you were there, in Cardiff, you might have missed some, bacuse you can't be in two places at one time):):):
One of the video sessions I saw was on Early literacy practices. It's a study about schools in Israel, but it presents some very interesting points. I particularly liked the method of "book after book" in which reading simple strories is followed by writing of similar stories by the students.
Have you done something similar in your classes? Please, share you experience!
Take a look! I think you will find some interesting ideas you can modify and apply in your own classroooms.

Iskra,
I wrote to one of the people in charge of Cardiff Online and he said it is important that you use the URLs from this site, i.e. (probably) not my tinyurls.
He also said it is not possible to download any of the videos from Cardiff Online. Official policy. (If someone's digital native teenage son told me it was possible to download these videos, I'd listen to him....though I guess it is not too good for teachers to behave illegally in this area.)
Dennis
Thanks, Dennis,
A small miracle has happened):)::)In the last two days I have actually been able to view some of the video recordings without any problems. Hope it last a little longer!):):)

Good news, Iskra.

Hello again,
You might want to take look at this presentation on "Revisiting text for greater language benefits" by Jeff Stranks.
http://iatefl.britishcouncil.org/2009/sessions/62/revisiting-texs-greater-language-benefit
I liked the four activities he presented for working on an already familiar text. I think I could use them with my students, even my younger ones.
I would like to hear your opinions on the presentation.
