_A message to all IATEFL Cardiff Presenters_
This year we are inviting all the Cardiff Conference presenters to upload their presentations (abstract, powerpoint presentations, handouts etc) to the Cardiff Online website.
All those presenting should have received an email from IATEFL with some instructions about uploading materials to this website.
If you're a presenter and you are having problems, please reply to this post and we'll try and help.
Many thanks,
Julian & Cardiff Online team
Hi Olwyn
To see _your session page_ , please :
1. click on the Programme link in the top (black) navigation bar
2. go to 'Search for a Session' towards the bottom of this page
3. enter your name or the title of your presentation and 'apply'
This should take you to your session page
It looks like there are a few bugs on the page - we'll sort this out - please try again in an hour
Many thanks
Julian
Hi Julian,
I'm wondering if I'm to late as I've treid logging out and logging in again but I can't see an "add a session" tag on my page. I'd like to upload my presentation. I also have a screen capture video which I could upload somewhere but it's much too big to upload directly here... and ideas?
Thanks,
Sharon

I uploaded my session on Wednesday, but as of this morning it doesn't appear anywhere. Is there a problem with the sessions section? (I've searched for it by date - April 2nd, session type - ELT Management, and by my name, and each search offers up nothing)
Hi Andy
Thanks for letting us know about this.
We have just made your session available - please let us know if you aren`t able to find it now.
(There was a small tick-box on the bottom of the page which needed ticking - we're now removing this so all presentations automatically become visible.)
Thanks once again
Julian
Dear adhoc,
You're one of the presenters for ELT Management, right? Could I ask you please to post something on our SEA forum site (ELT-M) telling visitors about your session and to get a discussion going?
Thanks

Hi. I'd like to upload my powerpoint, but the instructions IATEFL sent me aren't possible: " On the right, you will see ‘Presenter Quick Links’, click on ‘Add a session’" - I don't see 'Presenter Quick Links' anywhere.
Thanks for your help. Susan

Thanks so much for all your work in getting Cardiff Online up and going, Julian and Co!
While I was able to create a profile and upload a pdf file for my talk, I just noticed that the link from the session day (Thursday 15:15) has disappeared.Maybe others have had the same problem. Since I saved the exact URL and since I could find the page using the search function, I assume that just a few links have slipped off the Thursday page.
Using the search funtion I also see that an earlier version of the page is still up although I'd meant to overwrite it. Perhaps others have also had this problem? Can I delete a page or do you have to do it? The page to be deleted: .
Thanks again for all the help. I'm sure the next couple of days will be buzzing for you!
Jody on the way to Britain
For some reason the URLs didn't appear. I'll try again.
The page to be kept is http://iatefl.britishcouncil.org/2009/sessions/63/american-and-british-c...
The page to be deleted: http://iatefl.britishcouncil.org/2009/sessions/63/american-and-british-c...
Thanks Jody - we'll get this sorted out and get back to you shortly
Best wishes & safe trip
Julian
Hi Jody
I think this is fixed now
Your session page is at
http://iatefl.britishcouncil.org/2009/sessions/63/american-and-british-c...
The other session page you created has now been deleted
Thanks and hope to see youin Cardiff
Julian
Hello Julian,
I see that other presenters have had this same trouble, but I can't figure out what the solution is. Sorry to bother you with the same question, but I cannot find "presenter quick links" to click on.
Thanks for your help,
Julia
Hi Julia
Thanks for your message
It's actually quite simple - all presenter accounts are manually approved by a member of the Cardiff Online team
Unfortuanately, we can't be online to approve these requests 24/7 - which is why there is sometimes some delay in the confirmation email being sent
we hope this explains the delay
Many thanks for being part of Cardiff Online
Julian

Hi Julian ,
You wrote"This year we are inviting" does it mean that there is no dead
line for sending an article and I have time till the end of this year?
Fazira
Dear Fazira
All those who presented at the Cardiff 2009 IAEFL Conference can apply for a 'presenter' account and once approved they'll be able to upload their presentations to the site
The Cardiff Online website will be available for 12 monthsbut we'd hope that presenters will continue to interact with people via their session pages over the coming weeks , perhaps months
Best wishes
Julian

Julian,
I experimented with the quick link to upload my abstract but now I can't see how to get back to my page when I've got my presentation slides ready to upload.
