Breaking Web tools

Hi dear all:
I think this space gives us a great opportunity to share information on breaking Web tools. What new tools have you found or learned about lately, and what educational uses can we give them? Would you kindly give us some tips or tricks?
Thanks for sharing! :-))

Thanks a lot, Kevan. It's great to know that more and more Web providers are offering no ads-services for educators.
Cheers,
Evelyn
Hi Evelyn:
One of the things I found interesting in Graham Stanleys session this afternoon was a new software to organize your tweets (Twitter messages): http://www.tweetdeck.com/beta/

Teadira
Dear Tea,
Great to hear from you! How is everything going in Cardiff? I guess you are enjoying any minute. Thanks for the new tool. I'd love to know more about it. If you have further tips on its educational tools, please share them with us.
Hugs,
Evelyn

There were lots of social networking sites in Graham Stanleys session today and a great site for setting up a facebook type social network site to use with your class is Ning http://www.ning.com/ - it's not really a breaking web tool as it's been round for a while but it's a great tool - free and you can set up a private space for your class - user profiles, pictures, blogs etc. If you contact ning and tell them your space is for educational use then they should remove the adverts from the site.
