I think assessing  the students' pronunciation should be best put in speaking skill. How do you assess your students' pronunciation?

Hello vuthixuandun:

I evaluate spoken English at the level of conversation.  I focus on fluency (whether or not a student has trouble finding the correct word, vocalizing pauses in speech with sounds such as ahhh, emmm, hmmm, etc), coherence, and pronunciation.

I evaluate pronunciation at two levels: 1) pronunciation of segmentals at the level of isolated words, and 2) pronunciation of suprasegmentals at the level of sentences.

Thank you for your information. I wonder when the first one or the second one is applied. In my opinion, the first one is good when we check or test them the recognition of the individual sounds and the second one in fluency activities.
